Changes in OLE DB provider

• Reorganization of the code, which works with arrays. Code optimization and correction of errors.

Changes in the client library

• Support of IN-OUT parameters.
• The internal reorganization of sources. cpp and h files have highest possible compatibility with previous projects.
• Special constructions for non-trivial application error processing were added (lib/structure/error). In the general design this collection of classes is somewhat more qualitative than the analogous constructions of those used in provider.
• Expansion of functionality of classes from the catalogue lib/structure/prog_reg.

New samples

• sample_com_obj. Localization of error messages on English language is made. The new code of error processing and registration a component in Windows register is used.
• sample 8.1 и 8.4 C++ samples, which show how to work with stored procedures

Others

We have successfully overcome the next boundary of complexity in development of our information system for the real estate registration center. On September, 14, 2004 the main office of the organization has been transferred to the united database which daily replenishes with the data from all branches of region. The basic characteristics of our replicator:

• There are no restrictions on a direction of movement of the data.
• Support of creation of packages as with data changes and the selective information.
• The decision of a problem of primary keys conflicts.
• Use VBScript for programming logic of backuping and restoring the data. It is possible to realize both «summation» and «association» of databases.
• There is an opportunity of creation of various scripts for backuping and restoring a database.
• There is a possibility of use of the replicator as ActiveX component.
• It works with database server through OLE DB provider.

The size of the united database already has overcome 7GB and steadily grows.

In general, it is interesting enough practical development which analysis of operation has given us a lot of information for reflections about principles of construction and management of information storages.
