IBProvider v1.7.9.481 and v1.8.0.481 beta

Version 1.7.9 updates

• Multidimensional arrays for the data types, which are not compatible with VARIANT were formed incorrectly. This error does not appear, if property «array_vt_type» is true.
• Error of obtaining of arrays with the indication of a modifier of the type DBTYPE_BYREF.
• The principle of storage of string within arrays is changed. Now place for terminal symbol `\0′ is not reserved, i.e. strings with a maximum length of 10 symbols will be mapped into 10-byte elements of array (or into 20 bytes for UNICODE mode).
• The implementation of execution of query «CREATE DATABASE …» is changed. Now a new database, which is not linked with the current object of connection, is created.

In the past two months, our registered users obtained the new versions of OLE DB provider: 1.7.7 and 1.7.8. In these versions some errors were corrected:

• Work with BLOB-fields
• IColumnsInfo2 implementation

The state of beta version 1.8

We finished the realization of the support of all IB-types for the updatable Rowset. At present about 2/3 entire works is done. We promise nothing, but we will try not to disappoint you.

At present the implementation of new Rowset is accessible through IOpenRowset interface.
