In version 1.7.2 the last stage of the realization of UNICODE mode of provider operation was completed. Let us recall that this in this mode is achieved transformation of text data in UNICODE and back with the use of a code page of connection to the database («ctype» but not the current code page of the operating system.)

1. The conversion of the query text from UNICODE into ANSI string according to the same rules, as text given. Thus, in the query text it is possible to use string constants with the national characters. First of all Anti Nivala indicated this problem.

2. System (new and user queries to the database use united a mechanism of the conversion of text in UNICODE.

3. Unfortunately, the last versions Of IB6.x and Firebird do not permit the use of national characters for the object names of the database. Therefore we could not verify the support of such cases.

4. Insignificant errors and deviations from the OLE DB standard are corrected.
